    Hi,

A lot of our reviews dont get accepted in google due to review content containing “unnecessary tags”, it seems “???” characters get encoded.

Is there a solution to this?

    Best Regards

    Hi,

    Thanks for using CusRev.

Can you share the review feed URL and a screenshot of the issue?

    Hi,

Can i share the url privately? I have attached a screenshot

The issue seems to be the “content” containing &; characters instead of ???

    Hi,

This is a public forum, there isn’t a way to share the URL privately. However, your URL will not be indexed, you can add it directly to your reply or share a short URL.

    Hi,

I add the sample review content “J?ttebra” to our demo site and try to reproduce the issue but do not see that.
Can you share a screenshot of the review content in the admin area?

Also, please go to the admin area > Reviews > Edit a review > Re-update it with the correct content without the HTML special chars.
Then go to Reviews > Google > Re-save settings to generate a new review feed and check the issue again.

    Hi,

In the admin area the review content looks fine. Please see screenshot below

If i edit a review, it also looks fine, and there is no html special chars to remove.

    Best Regards

    Hi,

I think the review content is adjusted by a plugin or a block of code when generating to the feed. Please try to deactivate all plugins except CusRev, WooCommerce and switch to a WordPress theme. Then go to Reviews > Google > Re-save setting to generate a new feed and see how it goes.
