Hi Cusrev team, I’m looking into a good reviews plugin, and yours seems to do the job! I wanted to ask if you guys can help with an issues that is appearing on my site though…

It’s not the the theme – I tested it on the default theme

It’s not a plugin (at least after disabling them all the error was still there)

    The issue is this:
    Reviews are showing wrong count.

Go to thebgang.com/tofu-press/ And there you will see that cusrev show there are 23 reviews while there actualy are just 12.

    Thanks for your help, Sebastian.

    Thanks for providing additional information!

We will install that recipes plugin on our test website to reproduce the problem and understand what is the root cause. I will keep you updated about the progress.

Hi thank you. Yes please keep me updated because as of right now, I can not use your plugin because of this…

Do you think this is an issue on your side or on the recipes plugin side?

    Thank you

As promised, we installed and tested the recipes plugin on our test website. The issue is caused by the fact that it creates duplicate entries in the ‘commentmeta’ table. If you have access to the database on your website, you can check it yourself – please search for records based on your review ID in the field ‘comment_id’. You will see that there are two ‘rating’ records for the same review ID.

We can add a check for duplicate ‘rating’ records in our plugin but it will make the plugin slower. Also, normally, there is only one ‘rating’ record per review in WooCommerce, so there is no need to spend server resources on this kind of duplicate checks.

For these reasons, it would be best if the recipes plugin team could check their code and fix the problem with creation of duplicate ‘rating’ records in the database. Have you reported it to them?

We haven’t heard from you for more than two weeks. For this reason, I’ll assume that either you are not interested in this question/problem anymore or it has been resolved. If you still require any help, please start a new forum topic.
