Revert back to default user role (or set user role) when membership ends

When using the option to assign a specific role to a user when they purchase a membership, after that membership ends or is cancelled the user’s role remains assigned. I think it should revert back to what it was pre-purchasing (or the default role) or at least there should be an option in the membership level settings to set a user role after membership expiry.
