    Hi

We have added an uninstall option to the regeneration tool in v1.1:

    Uninstall
Go to Tools > SrcSet Settings
Click “Regeneration” tab on the left of options page
Select “Uninstall srcset” from dropdown option
!!Warning!! Backup your database BEFORE this step as the process is irreversible!! Click the ‘Regenerate srcset’ button
You can now uninstall the plugin

Please get in touch about your issue as we would prefer that the plugin work for you!

    Thanks

    Ben

When installed srcset was added but made no difference in loading thumbnails for mobile screen.
Now I cannot remove srcset – i reinstalled new version and ran uninstall srcset , but it is still there in html.

Are you using any custom image sizes? If so did you run the regen thumbnails plugin?

If you followed the srcset uninstal it should be removed.

Is the srcset still in the img tags within the text viewer of the wordpress edit post view?

Also did you test the srcset on a mobile device or a browser. I ask as not all desktop browsers support srcset but almost all modern mobile browsers do. To be honest the srcset attr was designed with mobile in mind not desktop:

Here are the browser which support srcset

Also, remember that the srcset groups are assigned to a wordpress image size.

If you assigned your srcset group to the “large” size for example, it will only be applied to images in content using the “large” size. You can select the image size when adding media into post content.

    Hi Fred,

As Ben mentioned, please make sure you are testing within a browser that supports the srcset attribute.

The only way to test this currently is in Chrome, Opera, and Android mobile browsers. The others will be supported in Safari and Firefox in the next releases.

Could you paste the image tag output for us, to see if something has gone wrong in the output?

    Thanks,

    Eric

    Hi

Eric and I are going to add support for the picutrefill js script.

This will provide support for all browsers and widen the reach of this plugin.

Please standby for version 1.2 coming very soon!

    Quick Note

v1.2 should now support all browsers both desktop and mobile.
