HAVING A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH THIS PLUGIN!! About 5 days ago I posted here that my ads weren’t showing. NEVER GOT A RESPONSE. So I deactivated and reinstalled it and it seemed to be working. Then yesterday I posted again because only 2 of the 3 ads were showing on my homepage. NEVER GOT A RESPONSE.

Also, since my initial problem 5 days ago, my revenue had dropped dramatically (seriously, only a few dollars a day!!) while my traffic has been going up. Yesterday, I decided to just switch to a different plug-in and my revenue is back up to normal now. So, is there any way on your end to double check my clicks for the last five days because I’m convinced they were not being counted.

    My site is: https://www.diyfunideas.com

    PLEASE RESPOND.

  • I’m sorry to hear the behavior of the plugin was confusing. When a post (or post excerpt) is very short, the plugin will reduce the numbers of ads inserted in that post, because it might result in a poor user experience otherwise.

For example, if you insert three ads in the first post (as is currently done on https://diyfunideas.com) but that post only has 1 paragraph longer than 1 line, only one ad will be shown. This might be what you experienced. We will try to make this more clear in the product.

Thank you for your response. When I had your plugin installed it wasn’t like that. I had one ad at the header, one ad in the right side bar, and one ad in the content. Right now I just can’t seem to change it on the plugin I’m currently using and I’m too afraid to you back to yours until I can get some clarity. Thank you.

Plus, for the five day period between my earlier posts, the plug in was working fine. So I’m still hoping to get some clarity on whether there was a problem with measuring clicks because as I mentioned earlier, as soon as I changed the plug-in my revenue went back to normal. Thank you.

Thanks for the explanation. Even with only one ad in the content the behavior I described is possible. We recently made a change so that very short paragraphs will no longer be used to anchor ads to in Design and Preview mode.

That means that if you previously placed an ad before the second paragraph, that ad will no longer show in Design or Preview mode when a post has only one ‘long’ paragraph. This appears to be the case on your site. Unfortunately it’s not straightforward to remove an ad like that without extending the content of the post first. We will improve that.

This would only have happened in Design and Preview mode; your actual site would still have showed that ad in the content until you clicked Save & activate again. If you reinstall the plugin and insert an ad before the first paragraph, the behavior will be correct.
