Reuse carousel

I am not sure I understand your query right. I guess you can just duplicate the carousel widget any number of times and reuse the same if that is what you are asking. I am not sure I fully understand what you are asking when you say ‘probably in the theme file’.

Sorry I meant if I can use one instance of the post carousel to another page or in the page template file?
For example if I have created a carousel on the home page then can I use the same one with same content on the contact page as well? So I only make changes to one carousel and it replicates on all the version?

There are two ways to handle this that comes to my mind at present –

1) Have the posts carousel widget created in a widgetized area of the page like header or footer or a sidebar that is shared across all pages. This way any changes you make in the widget is reflected across all pages.

2) Export the posts carousel using the SO page builder Layout->Export function and import them across all pages where you want this to show up. Of course, this won’t propagate the changes you make in one page to others but still saves some work for you hopefully.
