How to reuse questions or create quiz templates?

Some questions might be complex and keep lots of content. Often these questions are used in various lessons and final exam is putting together pretty much all the questions. To recreate a complex question for every quizz is time consuming and in case you ever update the question, answers or clarification, you must go through all the lessons and quizzes where this question is used.

Another idea is to have quiz templates. We could reuse a whole quiz that was created for another course or lesson with similar topics.

So far I found LifterLMS to be best LMS plugin, but it lacks for this functionality which is implemented in many other LMS plugins.

I think I partially found an answer to my question. I see that we can choose “Add Existing Quiz” while adding a quiz to the lesson. I see also “Add Existing Question” button while adding a question.
These are nice features, but I would like to understand better the logic behind this.
When adding existing quiz or question, it actually clones or copies and creates duplicates. This simplifies the process a little compared to entering everything manually, but after a while when reusing quizzes and questions we have a bunch of duplicates and they might become different if question is being edited. So, we still need to go through all the questions if we need to correct a little typo or write a better clarification.
I believe that redoing the logic here would be really big task, but for simpler management we would benefit from having a list of quizzes and questions like we have for posts, lessons and etc.

    Would that be possible?

    Hi @rubidze,

This set up with quizzes is not currently something we have available, however it definitely is on our roadmap for development and is something that will get build. I just don’t have an ETA for when that will be.

For now, the only way to clone and duplicate quizzes is inside the LifterLMS Builder.

    I apologize for the inconvenience!

Please let us know if you have any further questions!

    Thanks and take care,

I am glad that this is on your roadmap. Another good idea towards a perfect LMS plugin.

    Keep up the good work!
