    UK ebay

I get the following warnings on all profiles from around August

Warning: Returns policy attribute not valid (#21920200)
Returns policy attribute returnDescription not valid on this site

This happens even if “enable Return Policy” is set to off and then “Return Policy” is loaded directly from an excepted policy on ebay, i.e 30 days, buyer pays postage and a text based description

    Cheers

I am hearing that ebay.co.uk doesnt have business return policies anymore

Because of there no quibble guarantee, but if I set it to have no return policies at all, it fails with an error

    Cheers

OK went to ebay and created a new listing and it still does have business return policies in there, so not sure now

    Hey @albertramsbottom.

As far as we are aware that warning:

Warning: Returns policy attribute not valid (#21920200)
Returns policy attribute returnDescription not valid on this site

… means that you cannot use the “Return description” field anymore on certain eBay sites.

To clear this warning you need to remove the text in the “Return description” of your return policy directly on eBay. After that, refresh your account details by clicking the “refresh details” link on the accounts page of WP-Lister, then revise/publish the listing(s) again.

    Kind regards,
    John

I have in and cleared the free form text from the return description on my ebay policy on two policies and have tested them both after updating and refreshing my details and it is still throwing the error

It also throws the error if I dont use an ebay policy and leave out the return description in my profile

    Cheers

    Hey @albertramsbottom

If you are okay with the warning, it can be ignored, it won’t effect the performance of your listings.

If you would like us to take a closer look at this for you we can. It is likely that since WP-Lister is sending the field to ebay (even though it is blank), eBay is notifying you that the field can no longer be used, or is “not valid”.

The issue here is that some sites seem to still allow that field while others don’t. So we do need to keep the field in WP-Lister. We may be able to disable the field for certain marketplaces but it would be helpful we could examine this directly on your site by you opening a ticket for this with us with login credentials, dashboard URL, and sample SKU: Support Form

    Kind regards,
    John
