• Still having trouble with the html holding returns between paragraphs. I even went in and manually put them into the html and they still disappear when I save it.
    No idea why this happens.
    Anyone have any fixes?
    Thanks

  • If you’re using the rich text editor – turn it off. Should work but may need to also go to
    admin ->Options -> Writing
    and uncheck box for “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically”.

    I’ll give it a try and let you know how it works. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Unfortunately, it already was unchecked. Any other ideas to try?

    Check your CSS. I know that a site I recently designed, for some reason, there were some margin padding settings at zero, and the <p> tag wasn’t using any spacing. I had to manually add a .entry p {margin-bottom: 1em}

    What’s weird is that the returns hold sometimes, but not others. Would that still involve the CSS?

    possibly, if something is being inherited in an odd fashion.

    I am manually typing the <p> and </p> in and then after saving, they disappear from the code. I am baffled?!?

    How can something be inherited?

    I should say if the <p> tag is being inherited in an odd fashion, that is, without seeing the structure, some of the posts have a different containing div that is preventing the space.

    Just guessing here by the way. Can you offer a link?

    Should I post some of code or could you email me and I’ll give you a link? I prefer not to put a link up on the blog.

    I sent you an email on your personal site. If you’d still be willing to help, I’d be ever grateful. Thanks!
