Returns not adding

  • I don’t know if it is something that I have done in my theme development, but when I press return when writing a post, if it is to start a new line after a sentence then it adds a
    , but if I want a couple, it ignores them

    ie

    line1

    line2

    line3

    comes out as

    line1
    line2
    line3

    Any idea why?

    Wow, so this is a problem that has been with wordpress for about 3 years? So punctuation and formatting isn’t particularly important in a blogging platform?

    If I hadnt invested so much time and effort into building a blogging network and hacking away at the bloated and poor custom post type code, I would abandon this platform, constant workarounds and endless googling to fix things that shouldnt need fixing. What a ludicrous problem

    I can’t believe I’m going to have to ask my users to a*se about with html when one of the major selling points of wordpress is how idiot proof its post editor is.

    1. Try waiting for more than 30 minutes for a response next time.

    2. This is almost certainly a theme issue but since you haven’t given us a link to your site, we can’t look into that.

    3. Complaining because you haven’t had an answer within 15 minutes isn’t going to win you any friends or favors.
