• When someone tries to comment on a post, the user is taken to a blank screen and there is no automatic return to the post or elsewhere, they are just left on a blank screen. The comment is accepted and shows up on the blog post so it is accepted.

How can I return the visitor/commenter to the post they just commented on? I am running SK2, but I dona€?t think that is it as I have searched and cannot find anyone else with the problem referencing it.

  • You didn’t mention you are using a captcha script and that’s the one taking the commenters to a “thank you” page (almost blank, with no return link).

The captcha script is part of SK2. Can change it to redirect?

I am not using any script and I face the same problem. This happened after I upgraded to 1.5.2. I have disabled most of the plugins. In addition, I am not using a spam plugin which I can disable as suggested by one of the numerous other threads on the same topic.

    I’m using WordPress 1.5.1.3.

Is anyone else having this problem either without SK2 or with it? Suggestions?

Update: I was running Spam Killer 2 and Brian’s Threaded Comments. After removing Brian’s Threaded Comments, users are now taken to the thank you page generated from SK2.

However, they still are not redirected. It is an issue with SK2: from the code “//TODO redirect to comment page…”
