Retrieving WP site after transfer to Wix

  • Hi!

    I recently transferred my site to Wix and I need access back to my old blog page. When trying to log back into my old WP site, I receive a message that “this site can’t be reached”. Is there any way to get back to the backend of the old site once I’ve transferred it? Thank you!

  • You have already transfered your NS to Wix:

    So no – you can’t login to your WordPress site from this domain.

    You’ll need to contact your old host and ask if they have a backup if you don’t already have one.

    have already transfered your NS to Wix

    You can use /etc/hosts file
    (on windows \\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\Drivers\etc\hosts)
    to temporarily set IP-domainname pair to use old IP,
    restart your browser after saving that file and try to reach your old site.

    If that wont work or you need something else – please contact your hosting to retrieve backup.
