I’ve been using WordPress through BitNami Wampstack so as to get the hang of it without paying a webhost for learning time. Then the harddrive messed up. I copied the entire Bitnami folder, which included the WordPress, to another drive, reformatted the original, and then moved it back. Bitnami hasn’t been helpful in getting things back up and running. If I chuck Bitnami, and just work through a webhost, can I retrieve the WordPress theme and page set ups I’ve already done, even though they are hiding within the bowels of Bitnami’s Wampstack?

Is it just treated like a backup? Only catch is I don’t know what files are what.

Is it like moving to a new URL? If so, I’ll try to decipher your Codex page. But the hangup is that I no longer have actual access to the pages.

    Is this hopeless?
    Thanks,
