retrieving the search terms

Small question: Does anyone know if there is a WP function for retrieving the search terms?

FYI, I’ve been doing the following:

echo count($s_arr) . ' search results for ';
for ($i = 0; $i < count($s_arr); $i++){
echo $s_arr[$i];
}
