Retrieve custom post types based on custom taxonomy term

Hello,
I have created a custom post type called “guide” that contains content about locations, and a custom taxonomy “Venue Type” to categorize my locations.
In my template, what query or function should I use to retrieve all my locations that I have set to a particular “venue type” (for instance “restaurants”).
