Retina HD

To tell you the truth, I don’t think websites will look very much different from 2x to 3x since usually the photos are already too big for a 2x. However, when we will have new retina 3x computers and laptops then it will be really important.

That said, I was planning to add the 3x support so you don’t have to worry ?? I will make a new release probably this coming week.

Hey Thibault. That will be in January. Why do you need it so fast? ??
I don’t think any device would take advantage of it yet. On iPhone 6 the @2x looks perfect. I didn’t try manually with @3x but I am not sure it would look any different (but the images would be much bigger).

no offense but i think you are doing something wrong, the iPhone 6 Plus has a resolution of 1920×1080, so you don’t need 3x ??

I don’t understand how someone could say that Retina is a thing, but Retina HD is not a thing. Retina needs media queries @2x (ie: [email protected]) – how could that not be a premise for Retina HD (@3x?)

Please give a good response, very curious about this subject and how it reflects with Retina 2.0 plugin

Retina is just a term for a screen that squeeze more pixels than just 1… in only 1. It can be 2x, 3x, 4x but honestly it would be hard to see the difference after 2x. Anyway, the plugin will have a feature for unlimited versions of those 2x, 3x, 4x, etc. It’s not difficult to implement for me so I’ll do it.
