Retina – extended support

    Hi,

    current support of retina could be extended with adding dynamically half size image into image object. For example if you will declare image with retina support with 650 x 450 dimensions, your plugin requires image to be 1300×900, but in image object container i don’t have available 650×450 size to grab regular image. Is it possible to create half-size image on the fly when retina mode is enabled?

    Great plugin by the way, it works without any issues since last year.

    HI there,

    Thanks for your feedback. You should be able to achieve what you are trying to, if you use a pre-defined image size, and use the save-to-media-library-option. In that case the 2x image will be generated, and be available in the image object as “url” while the original size will be available under the name of that size.

    Does that make any sense to you?

    thanks for your response. In 95% cases i am using custom sizes.. for predefined images i could easily add more options there to achieve that result. So is there any way to support also that custom sizes declared per field?
