I recently installed Real Media Library and the WP/LR Sync Folder extension but I need to “Resync with Extensions” to populate the RML folders and fix a few other issues. When I do this however, the “Add media x to collection x” status seems to stop after awhile and only the first few RML folders are populated with photos. If I click “Resync with Extensions” again, the process starts over rather than continuing from where it stopped. Do you know if this is some kind of PHP limit that I’m running into, or is there some other way to finish the Resync? I’m syncing about 5k photos.

You should have a look in your PHP Error Logs, it seems there is an error somewhere.

Currently, it is not possible to Pause/Continue/Retry with this process, but I will make this possible at a later point of time ?? Right now I am preparing a huge release of WP/LR Sync.

Alternatively, if you would like to see an explorer as a sidebar of your Media Library, you can activate the option in the WP/LR Sync Settings.

    Hi Jordy

I hope it’s OK to reopen this thread. I’m having the same problem. There are no error messages in the PHP log.

I have a couple of questions:

    – is this process dependent on my browser? If my laptop goes to sleep could that cause the process to hang? Or could there be a server setting that is interrupting the process?

    – does the process work incrementally? If it hangs and then I restart the process will it continue from where it left off, or restart from the beginning?

Thanks for your work on this plugin.

Yes. If your laptop goes to sleep, it then continues when it wakes up. If an error happens on the server-side, indeed, the process might be stopped. In that case, have a look at 1 and 2 here: https://meowapps.com/debugging-wordpress/

It’s a bit tricky to do, and would cause many issues unfortunately. I am thinking more of having a “Try Again” kind of button when it fails.

    Hi Jordy

Thanks very much for your reply. It looks like the stuff I need is in the folders/collections where it should be (touch wood), but next time, I’ll turn off the energy-saving features so that the laptop doesn’t go to sleep. I’m also wondering whether it might be a browser-specific issue as Safari has features for reducing energy usage, so next time I’ll try with Chrome.

I expect that it would be impossible (or at least take way too much time) but it would be great if there was a way to just rebuild a single collection or folder.
