Results page shows always 0 results

  • Hello guys,

    after our relaunch we use Relevanssi for better search results but it doesnt work anymore. On the old website it works without problems but now it dont.

    Can you tell me what can be the reason for this? I turn the plugin off till I get an answer for this to fix.

    Well, what has changed? Have you changed the theme, or perhaps added new plugins?

    Hey Mikko,

    yes, I changed the theme to Examiner. Addionally I added some new plugins like WP Rocket, No Category Base (WPML), The SEO Framework.

    I tried this – but this doesnt work :/

    My search.php has no query_posts(), WP_Query() or $wp_query->get_posts().

    It may be your theme is not compatible with Relevanssi. Hard to say, as it’s a Premium theme, so I can’t take a look at it.

    I’d check the query variables your theme and plugins are setting (see what the global $wp_query->query_vars contains), to see if there are surprising restrictions there. Rule out plugin conflicts by deactivating other plugins.

    The funny is that on my testsite which has the same theme and plugins Relevannsi works…only on the livesite it doesnt work :/

    But I will look either – maybe I can fix it with your tip.

    Does the live site have a complete index for Relevanssi?

    Ok, I tested it with deactivate plugin for plugin to find out where the problem ist – but without success ??

    Yeah I built the index…nothing helps :/ I have to deactivate the Relevannsi plugin for my visitors. With the normal search (which isnt quite well as this plugin is) my visitors can search and get results.

    If Relevanssi still works on your dev site, just compare the two until you figure out what’s different.

    Ok, I dont find any differents. The settings on the demo site and the live site are the same. I cant find the failure.

    I can give you access to my site and you can take a look into it?

    I’m sorry, but I have to set limits somewhere, and working on other people’s sites is something I can’t do for the users of free Relevanssi. That is something I can only offer for Relevanssi Premium customers.

    Ok, bad. Then I have to switch to an other search plugin.
