I’m trying to help my client, who has been using QSM for 9 years. The results page recently quit accepting the variable codes as they had been written, outputting the raw codes rather than replacing them with their values. (I’ve never edited them in my time helping my client, just kept the plugin updates going, etc.)

In addition (and even more troublingly), when I’ve gone to test the system, it also doesn’t record any of my answers — just a blank test, even if I fill out every question. If I look at past tests, it shows each question answered, but not on ones I fill out now, whether logged in or filed out anonymously.

I’m not sure the two problems are related, but originally, the template used variables such as %CATEGORY_POINTS%I%/CATEGORY_POINTS%, which are the ones that quit functioning. Those didn’t seem to be a clearly defined form of the variable codes, so I switched to the form %CATEGORY_SCORE_I%. This does seem to work in as much as it gets replaced by “0,” but again, the selections I make do not seem to be carried over to that results page or the Administrative results page.

Any ideas what might be going on? I’m running QSM 9 on WordPress 6.5.2.

I’m so sorry, I missed your reply! Here are the answers:

    1. The current version of WordPress you’re using. 6.5.3
    2. Your PHP version. I first noticed the problem on 8.1, so I’ve also tried 8.0 and 7.4.
    3. If possible, could you provide a screenshot of the site health page? Here it is:

(I enabled HTTPS after viewing this page — I hadn’t realized it was turned off.)

    1. A list of activated plugins and themes. Themes: 2024 and 2014; Plugins: QSM and W3 Total Cache
    2. If possible, please provide the error log file. I’m sorry, dumb question: the web server error log file or does QSM have an error log of its own?

    Thanks for your help!
