• My Page Speed Insights got worse.

    I’m getting better results with just the minify option in Cloudflare. And even better results (still not that great but better) with JetPack Boost.

    I bought the critical css api add on too.

    Not sure if I’m configuring something wrong or it may just not be right for this site.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    always happy to review results mfkfisher, but looking at the HTML source, Autoptimize isn’t active at the moment (but I do see a mix of other optimization techniques used)?

    Hi,

    Sorry, I was testing out alternatives.

    I was able to get decent results by selecting “Also aggregate inline JS?” which the settings suggested not to do.

    I have it activated now and definitely would appreciate any feedback on improving its settings.

    Thanks,

    I only see the countdown timer, performance of such a page is not relevant to what will eventually go live really ?? will be happy to review once a *real* homepage is visible ??

    The page is up now to check.

    Autoptimize is also blocking the hamburger menu from working. And it’s blocking the exit-intent popup. I contacted the Brizy builder but they can’t give me a good solution. They’re just telling me to turn off the aggregated inline javascript. But doing that destroys the effectiveness of the Autoptimize plugin (turning that on is what got me decent results).

    I assume there’s a script I need to exclude but I’m not sure which.

    thanks.

    OK, can you try disabling “aggregate JavaScript” and turn on “don’t aggregate but defer” and “also defer inline JavaScript” instead?

    It fixes the hamburger menu and popup issue but puts a big dent in my performance. Pagespeed insights is showing a decrease from 45-50 on mobile to 35-40. And on desktop a decrease from 80-90 to 65-70. It’s causing a layout shift on desktop.

    well, the alternative is re-enabling “aggregate JS” and then OK, try excluding one of below each line to see which one makes the menu work and then try to drill down more if possible (esp. for plugins)?

    * wp-content/themes
    * OR wp-content/plugins
    * OR wp-includes/js

    Did you try aggregating but excluding mfkfisher, any further feedback ?
