    Hello,
it would seem that the calculate button does not work as intented. If all the required fields are filled, you can click anywhere and the results will be displayed, you don’t have to click on the button itself. Changing any of the values from that point onwards recalculates the result, again without the need for clicking the button.

Removing the button (or buttons, as you cannot remove only the calculate button) breaks the calculator, as no results display at all without it. So, the button does nothing, and yet the calculator doesn’t work without it.

I am fully aware that this issue may stem from my own unfamiliarity with the plugin or WordPress in general. I’ve only started using it in recent days and I’ve had little previous experience with creating websites. This does not seem like intended behaviour, however, and I’d like to know a solution.

tl;dr: I want to know how to either make results show up without the calculate button, or have them not display before it is actually clicked.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello.

Thanks for your feedback. Now the form must have the button ‘Calculate’ for correct work. But we will fix it in the next version of the plugin. In the next version, you will create the form without the buttons.

We plan to update the plugin this week. It may be on Thursday

    Thanks

Thanks for the quick response. Can’t wait for the update, and good luck on your development. If I have any further issues after the update rolls out, I’ll reply again in this thread.

Edit: It would also greatly help if you made it so the result doesn’t calculate until the button is clicked, because as of now you can click anywhere after all the variables are set and it calculates on its own.

Do you have a new release date for the update?

Well, the calculator indeed works without the buttons now, but the core problem still persist. The result displays when you click anywhere.

So if you have a button, you don’t actually have to click it for the result to be displayed, you can click anywhere.

If you don’t have a button, the result displays when you click anywhere after typing in the last value.

Would it be possible to implement such a feature, that if the button is present in the calculator, the result displays only if you click the button itself?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello.

Please, update to version 1.1. Set the option -> ‘Make a calculation when loading the form’. See the screenshot https://share.cleanshot.com/7CCQ9tQh
