• You have really great and easy UI. However it doesn’t work on frontend:

    – I created user “subscriber” with “Subscriber” role
    – I created Access level and specified user can see homepage (posts list) and category “General”
    – Then I create post in another category
    – Logged in with “Subscriber” and still see post from another category and can open it without any restrictions.

When you create an Access Level, you grant users explicit access to some content, but they can still see everything else on your site.

What you need to do, in addition to what you have already done, is to add another Access Level (eg for Administrators) and select all the content you do not want Subscribers to see. Before you save it, make sure to set “Parent” to the Subscriber Access Level.

Let me know if this works.

    Hi Joachim,

Thanks for the reply, however I needed the solutions few days ago, so I used combination of Members and WordPress Access Control plugins to reach my goal.

However your user interface is really great. I suggest to add some info to readme how to setup posts visibility on frontend.

It is great that you found a solution, even without this plugin.

Thanks for the nice words, and some user guides will come up eventually, yes. If you ever decide to try out the plugin again and have more questions, do not hesitate to open a new support thread here.

I was following you instructions above, but do not see where this is ” Before you save it, make sure to set “Parent” to the Subscriber Access Level.”

In the most recent version the “Parent” option has been renamed to “Extend” for better clarity.
