Restricting editor access per login
-
Hi all,
So this looks like just what I need, but I just thought I’d check as I’m going round in circles with the FAQ as it seems to be more for granting access to specific roles, and I need it for specific users. Something like the way a Microsoft server allows access to specific files & folders.
I have a website for a charitable association that has around 20 members, each one of whom has a webpage of their own, within the site, describing themselves. I wrote the site, and what I need is for those members to be the only login who can edit their own pages, as well as myself, the administrator of course. Will Publish Press Capabilities allow me to do that, restrict access to a single page for each WordPress login.? Or does it simply maintain its own database of users and only allow them to view certain pages.?
The members pages are already all created and published, and they wont need much editing. This is just for updates, additional media, etc. The worry is that less experienced users of the site will accidentally edit other members pages.
Thanks for any advice.
