I have just downloaded the Plugin Members – Membership & User Role Editor Plugin and it works great as I’m trying to create a new role for the owner of the site to access one plugin called Forminator Forms (FF) area of the WP Dashboard. This worked great initially and just showed the WP dashboard with that one FF area showing.

I then edited the role to show WooCommerce orders, it didn’t work as I wanted, so I removed that option. Now, since trying to log in with the restricted role, it doesn’t go to the WP dashboard but shows me the following screen. What’s happened?

I believe this is the Woocommerce Account page, I want the restricted user to just access the WP dashboard to access Forminator Forms (FF) area only.

What’s causing this, it was working fine until I tried to give the user access to the Woocommerce pages too, it didn’t work as I needed, so I removed the Woo option from the role. The restricted role goes toe the Woo account page instead of the Forminator Forms (FF) area.

    Thanks

    Hi @cecil108 ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

As I understand, this issue is related to the Members – Membership & User Role Editor plugin, and not WooCommerce Payments.

Since this forum is for support related to the WooCommerce Payments extension, I’d suggest reaching out to the developers of the Members – Membership & User Role Editor plugin.

Here is a direct link to their dedicated support forum.

    Cheers!

    Hey Roxy,

Thanks for the reply, that’s what (FF) said.

“Hi Paul, It looks like this page is an Account page provided by WooCommerce, so please contact WooCommerce support to see if they can troubleshoot this. I hope that helps.”

When I first used the FF plugin to restrict a role to just the (FF) area of the WP Dashboard. It worked well and the user concerned when logged in could only use the (FF) area of the WP Dashboard. Great.

I then added a WooCommerce (WC) role ability to that user, it didn’t work, so I removed that role from the user, leaving the (FF) area of the WP Dashboard only.

Then, when logging in with the restricted user credentials to access the (FF) area of the WP Dashboard, it didn’t work. The restricted user was presented with the screen as per the link above, which turns out to be the Woocommerce account login screen.

This is why the (FF) plugin site said that the screen related to the (WC) account and ask WC, which I did.

I seem to be going around in circles.

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Hello @cecil108,

First, this forum is for the WooCommerce Payments plugin, in the future please make sure to post the correct forum.

As for your request, I understand the problem started to happen only when giving permissions to WooCommerce tabs but WooCommerce doesn’t offer a way to restrict the dashboard or certain tabs in the first place, so I’m afraid this is outside our scope of support.

You are redirected to the “my-account” page after logging in because it is normal behaviour for customers/subscribers attempting to log in to the wp-admin page.

    Cheers!
