• Recently installed this plugin, and noticed something that I’m not sure is expected behaviour. It seems odd to me.

I have both restricted & unrestricted categories, and on the whole this is working fine. A restricted post is only viewable by someone logged in, as set up. Also, if someone not logged in goes direct to the URL, they cannot see the post.

However, if a person not logged in goes direct to the URL of an image attachment, they can see that image. Examples URLs for clarification are:

example.com/2018/11/12/post_title/ – cannot be viewed (error message instead of post contents)
example.com/2018/11/12/post_title/img_0236/ – image attachment is shown to someone not logged in

In Ultimate Member -> Settings -> Access, I have all the options selected to restrict access to posts (Post, Page, Media).

Is the above expected behaviour, and is there any way to restrict the image attachments page from people not logged in when they directly access the URL?

I’ve worked this out now. It seems every image as the option to restrict access to the attachment page. I installed this plugin on an existing site with 1,500 images.

An option to restrict all images attached to an existing post with images would be useful.

    Hi @mojorob,

Currently it’s not possible, however, we will see whether it’s possible to add this option in the future plugin updates.

    Regards.

Thanks. I don’t suppose there’s a SQL query that could be executed in PhpMyAdmin to update photos to restricted? The far majority of images are attached to posts in a restricted category.

    Hi @mojorob,

This would require some custom coding and customization.
If you are looking for some custom coding and not sure how to do it I suggest hiring a developer for assistance.

    Regards.
