Restricted Content Feature for Email Collection

  • Is it possible to integrate a functionality similar to Course Hero, where only a snippet or 1/4 of the content is visible, and the remaining content fades out or is blurred? and also there’s a form overlaying the faded/blurred content that prompts users to log in for complete access.

    However, on my end, rather than requiring sign-ins, I aim to include a newsletter form solely for collecting emails. After users submit the form or enter their email, the blurred content will be revealed. Also, the form I am going to use is an embedded from GoHighLevel. Ex; https://imgur.com/hVoUJPX

    I am aware with premium content plugins, but they don’t quite meet my requirements. So, I’m curious if there are any options that come closer to what I’m looking for.

    You could try one of the membership plugins available in the WP repository. They may not be exactly what you want, but you could go with the one that’s closest and further customize it to get what you want.

    The blur effect is CSS based, so it’s possible for a knowledgeable user to unblur the text. Thus it’s important that blurred text not reveal critical information that you want to restrict access to. Or you should use dummy text (e.g. lorem ipsum) in its place and blur it enough so its not discernible as dummy text. After a user completes the form, the actual content can replace the dummy text.
