    Why is the default value for this setting ‘1’? I thought I was configuring my SMTP settings incorrectly because I couldn’t receive email through the “Send an email to subscribers” feature, but it was only because the default value was set to ‘1’ instead of ‘0’ (unlimited).

    I would either consider pointing this out for installation purposes or just making the default value ‘0’.

    Otherwise, the plugin looks great. I’m excited to dig in.

    Cheers.

  • @maplethorpej,

    That setting has a default value of 1 because that is the value that works best for the majority of users. The setting is available to allow configuration for individual sites where the default does work very well.

    Okay, that makes sense then. Thanks for the response.

    @maplethorpej,

    You’re welcome, most users are on a shared hosting plan where many emails in a BCC headers gets immediately dropped as looking like spam so the old default setting of 0 used to cause lots of issues. 1 seems to work a lot better for most people – with you being the exception! ??
