Great tool so far, thank you.

After much disappointment with JPEGs and PNGs I was happy that SVG worked for me. It looks great on smaller devices such as tablets and phones, extremely crisp. Unfortunately the image looks ginormous on desktop browsers.

Please can you advise how I can restrict the max size of the SVG?
Also, I would like to create some padding at the left and right of the image if possible.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hey Nathan,

I can’t see any issue in the link you provided… But you should be able to set any size using simple CSS width and height attributes.

Thanks for the reply. When you say you can’t see any issues – can you see the logo at all? It seems to be temperamental as to whether or not it appears. The filesize is very low, however.

My knowledge of CSS is extremely basic so I will have to do some research on how to set the attributes. Thanks!

I think I may be experiencing a similar issue as a previous poster.

The file I am using is made up of a .PSD file containing rasterized images that I dropped into Illustrator to export as an .SVG file to overcome my issues with compression and sharpness. ??

    Hello,

I have now abandoned .SVG entirely. It’s a great method and I’m sure I’ll use it again in the future, but I don’t think it’s the right avenue for this particular file. I’ve tweaked my .PNG files and played around with the sizing in CSS to get a result I am now happy with.

    Thanks all the same.

Sounds like you figured out the issue ??

YEs, SVG is for vector files. Dropping raster images in a vector file won’t help with the quality, it would need to be recreated using vector tools, traced either manually or live traced in Illustrator.

Glad you got a working solution.
