Restrict roles to create pages

    Hello,

    is there also a way to restrict specific roles to create pages?
    I allow auhtor role to see a specific page but this role shouldn’t be able to create new page..

    Is this possible or do I need another plugin in addition?

    Hi @znow,

    Yes this is possible. On the settings screen: /options-general.php?page=restrict_content_by_role

    Check the box under the setting: “Prevent Restricted Content Child Pages”

    Thank you for your fast reply!

    This works great if the user would always choose the new added page as a child page.

    Right now I would have to tell the user to always check the “new page” as child page to a parent page. Not a problem for me but for the customer/user who maybe could forget to do this and create a parent page instead. This then could be viewed by every role…

    But there is no way to disable the “add new” button on the page list/ edit page?
