Restrict Post Type to a Limit that Doesn’t Cycle and Excludes Deletes

    Hello,

    Is it possible to limit a post type so a user can only have ‘x’ number of that post type total, published/live on the site at any given time?

    For example, I’m trying to restrict specific users (by their user role) from, say, being able to have more than 3 products published on the website at any given time, forever (no cycle or one that will never come (e.g. 100 year cycle)).

    Although if they delete a product, they’d be able to create/publish another product again, just so long as they do not have more than 3 products published/live at any given time.

    Hi,
    Currently there is no reliable method to achieve that.
    If the purpose is to not lose the product data, an admin can take ownership on the product and bring it back when the user ask for it- while verifying (via Dashbaord => Users) he doesn’t have more than 3 products.
