Restrict Pages without Plugins

What you wrote does not make sense. Can you restate it in different words? (did you leave some words out?)

When you say “I would like to do this via code with no need for plugins”, what does that mean? The code has to go somewhere and plugins provide a simple way to get the code loaded at the right place and the ability to deactivate it easily, and to make it easy to reuse it somewhere else. Functionality belongs in a plugin, not a theme, and you certainly shouldn’t change WordPress itself.

But my question is this:
In my project and I have some pages, which I want to restrict. Imagine an area of members, within that area I have pages that I do not want to be displayed, they will be displayed only to subscribers, and those who try to access this urls if they have saved and try to pass it on to other people. It re-enforces redirect to the login screen.

What I want is to restrict the pages only to subscribers and the administrator only these two types of profile will have access.
When I talk about plugins I do not want to use plugin to do this, since if there are inumeros plugins for this need, I want to do via code inside my functions.

Am I understanding correctly — you want to create the custom code yourself, instead of using a code created and maintained by someone else.

Suggestion: You could check the template files/code in a few content restriction or membership plugins to see how to start to create the custom code solution tailored for your exact needs. You would be creating your own custom “plugin” functionality to extend/modify behavior of WordPress.
