    Hi

Does anyone know if there is any easy way to restrict access specifically to the members page so only signed in subscribers can see the details of other subscribers who have joined the site?

Its a common requirement to allow people to join a site and see a page of other people who have joined the site but to deny access to that one page for people who are not signed in.

I have seen the access tab under settings but this seems to require that you work this way around.

    1. Make the entire site accessible only to signed in users [ restrict ]
    2. Then make exemptions for the pages you want anyone to be able to view [ public ]

This way of working would be a maintenance nightmare for the site I am working on, every time you add a new page that is intended to be accessible to anyone you have to remember to add it to the list of exemptions!

It depends on the nature of the site – some people will want to have restrictive access on only a small number of pages and a default of public access.

Other people will want to offer public access on only a small number of pages and a default of restrictive [ signed in ]

I don’t need different levels of access – just a simple “if you are signed in then you can see the public members page”.

    Thanks Jon
