Restrict Media Library List/Edits By User Group

Thanks for your interest in Permissions.

The media permissions in this plugin work on what posts you can edit. So if you can only edit posts from users in your group, then yes – this is possible:

So does this mean that only media attached to a post that my group can edit would display in the media library?

If I select “Other users’ unattached uploads listed by default,” will I be able to see everyone’s unattached media, or just unattached media uploaded from members of my group?

I’m just wondering about PDF documents that may not be used in a post but group members still would need to see/reference.

Ok. Thanks for the clarity. Where would I be able to add a feature request? Is the feature I describe something you and your team has thought about?

If you’re just checking the wp_posts table for if the attachment has a post_parent, maybe I can write some code to programmatically attach the file to a post without attaching through the UI as a work around.
