Restrict Media

I am looking for a plugin to replace role scoper, which will no longer be supported in WP 3.7. and for my purposes the replacement PressPermit is far to complex and I#ll have to pay for it.
The main difference is: In Roles Scoper I assign a new user a basic role and add abilities to this like write in specified Categories, edit selected pages ….
In Restrict Categories I assign a user the role with the highest permission level I want him to have and then restrict which categories he can use.
Restricting categories works fine with “Restrict Categories” it is much simpler and easier to use and it does exactly what I need: to let certain users only write articles in the categories I select for them.
But they still have access to all media files.
Restricting categories should also restrict the media selection to those used in the specified category.
And a nice update would be to also select which pages a user can edit.
