• In mqtranslate there is/was the option to set editors access to one specific language, as per plugin-info:

mqTranslate adds the following features to qTranslate:

    • Language selection for editor accounts (allows your translators to see only their source and target languages)
    • Protection of concurrent edits of different languages (ie your english and german translators can save their work at the same time without risking data loss)

Is this option available in qtranslate X, if not is a planned feature to add (I was not able to find the feature).
    Thanks

Yes, at some point we will move this feature from mqTranslate. For now, I updated the list of desirable features: https://qtranslatexteam.wordpress.com/desirable/

Hi I’m looking for the same feature? ,

is there any way php script or plugin that can make it so e.g.. And english user can edit some pages but only english language. French user can edit only french etc. ?

    I’m also using qtranslate-x

    Best

If such a thing is implemented – it would be nice to go all the way – and have language stored in the user account itself!

That way e.g. emails sent out by additional plugins or via cron job – could be sent in the correct language. Twould be very nice for membership sites.

So in essence – for logged in users – use cookie on frontend. Use profile setting for backend and emails and so on.

I updated https://qtranslatexteam.wordpress.com/desirable/ with this idea too. Thank you.

    Hi,

I am still looking for this feature so I do wonder if there’s a roadmap for the Desirable Unimplemented Features?

    Thanks a lot
