• I have a bunch of different catalogs, each needing their own custom fields. But it seems custom fields populate themselves in all catalogs ultimately showing irrelevant information in other catalogs.

    For example:
Catalog “Food” might have custom fields of “Color” and “Ripeness”
Catalog “Furniture” might have custom fields of “Size” and “Type”

Looking at “Furniture” products in the catalog displays custom fields “Color” and “Ripeness”, even though they have blank values for that specific product, they are still displayed if the settings warrant its display in thumbnail/list/detail view.

It almost sounds like a bug to me, but regardless, when editing products, it’d be nice to only see custom fields assigned to that particular catalog or category and not all of them at the same time.

  • Hello @jmbronson,

Could you go to Options > Premium > Features > Enable Hide Blank Custom Fields and see if it makes a difference?

Enabling this option prevents Custom Fields, with no assigned products, from being displayed in the Catalog. Additionally, you can use Custom CSS to hide certain Custom Fields from appearing in specific Catalogs.

@jmbronson For pro or commercial product support please contact the author directly on their site. This includes any pre-sales topics as well.

As the author is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums. I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.
