Restrict Content on a single Page

Am I able to use the shortcodes to restrict only some content on a single page? For example, I have a page that has a list of document links in different sections. I want one section of the page to be visible to certain roles (subscriber, editor), but another section of content to only be visible to a different role (administrator, custom_role).

So, depending on who you are logged in as, you will only see some content on that page that meets the shortcode criteria.

I’m not sure how to set up a restriction to allow this?
