restrict content after a certain time on a page each day, instead of just hide

    Hi Dave,

    Would you be willing to help me customize a code that not only “hides” the content, but actually RESTRICTS it, after a certain amount of time per day? Because with your plugin, all they have to do is refresh the page, to restart the timer.

    I need something that will allow my free members to only be allowed to view certain content of the site (a daily limitation), for a maximum amount of minutes per day. And if they want to take the time limits off, they need to upgrade their membership.

    It baffles me how there is not ANY plugins that support this. I have spent hours just searching on how I can do this, if not with a plugin, then myself using functions.

    If you know of any please let me know. Otherwise I am also willing to pay you to customize this for me if it won’t be too much work and therefore expensive on my end.

    Just in case you misunderstand, I do realize that your content IS restricted, and can’t be visible by refresh, when it’s customize to not show at a specified time or date.

    But of course with my situation, I only need to restrict it based on how long they have been viewing that page. So it can be at ANY time of the day, and on ANY date.

    Hi there,

    I’m afraid that this capability is well outside of the scope of this plugin and is a different function altogether with only moderate correlation to what this plugin does.

    In order to achieve what you want, a timer would need to count how much time a single user account or IP address has been viewing content for a set period and store that data in the database. This may be possible with JS.

    I’m afraid that this is something that I won’t be able to help you with.
