Restrict category depth to 2 levels

  • Hello,

    Im looking for a way to restrict the backend user of wordpress (whatever role he has) of not being able to create more than 2 level depth categories.

    Is this possible using the hooks “edit_terms” or “edited_terms”?

    Does anyone has a clue?
