    Hello @taura20 ,

Please refer to the documentation and configure the WPvivid settings on the target site as recommended.

Afterwards, you can restore the site content one by one.

In the free version, if your backup files are merged into a single package during the backup process, decompress the zip package. Once decompressed, you will have the following zip packages:

    1. wp core
    2. wp content
    3. plugins
    4. themes
    5. uploads
    6. database

Then, upload each of them individually to the target site and perform separate restoration processes for each. Plus, it is unnecessary to restore the WordPress core ZIP package if the WordPress version on the new site differs from the one in the backup.

Do not cancel the restore progress or refresh/close the restore page during a restore task until a successful or failed message appears, as the restoration is actually still running in the background.

    Kind regards.

    Good morning,

I am facing the same issue, going to try your recommendation above. Should I restore in the order that you provided?

    Kind Regards,
Hoping that you have a prosperous new year!

Yes, that is the correct order for the restore process. Additionally, there is no need to restore the WordPress core ZIP package if the WordPress version on the new site differs from the version in the backup.

    Happy New Year.

    Hello Support,

    Hello @taura20

Do you get the same issue of ‘restore gets stuck at 66%’?

If so, in our experience, the issue appears usually because the web server has limits on unzipping of WordPress core files.

If WordPress version of the target website is the same as the source website, you can download the backup to your computer, unzip the file and delete the _core zip, then upload the rest of backup files and restore.

    All the best,

    Hello @taura20 ,

We’d appreciate your feedback on the website restoration process. In particular, did you exclude the WordPress core zip file during the restore? Additionally, could you please send the restoration logs to our support email address: support(a)wpvivid.com?
