Restoring media archive using absolute path

  • Hi to all,
    I absolutely need your suggestion: I have this site with many many images and I was thinking for old posts to use absolute path in order to empty media and try to boost the website. So I have three questions ??
    1) Is it a good idea, isn’t it?
    2) If yes, what about gallery? Is it possible use absolute path with gallery inside posts?
    3) How to do that? ??

    Actually for each post I’d need to get featured image and insert it before text and then do something about galleries in some posts.
