    Hi All,

My client has edited the live header.php file and lost all of the images from the homepage!

Is there a way I can revert to a previous version of the PHP file or restore the original header.php with an update to the Neve theme?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi,

I follow the discussion, I have the same problem.

    Hi @learnerama and @tifaeris!

    Thanks for choosing Neve!

Updating the theme should bring back the default code in the PHP file. However, we strongly advise our users to make all the desired changes in the code only using a child theme, so please keep in mind to create a child theme for any other changes you may want to make in the future.

    Have a good day!

Hi @luciamarinescu , Thanks for the advice.

    Unfortunately, nothing has changed! ??

The assets and structure of the page still haven’t been restored. I just have the copy. Do you know of another solution to recover the homepage assets/structure?

    Hi @learnerama!

I’m sorry to hear updating the theme didn’t help. Another solution to restore the default header.php file would be downloading the archive of Neve that can be found here, searching for the header.php file in the folder and copying all its content in the header.php file from your site. This way that file will contain again the original code from the theme.

    I hope this helps!

    Have a nice day!
