    Hi

I understand that external databases need to be restored manually from here https://updraftplus.com/forums/topic/backup-more-databases-postgresql/ however i dont understand how.

When i go to cpanel to upload the file after changing the name to *.sql.gz it gives me the following error:

Error: “dbanme_(user@localhost/database (these are edited))” is invalid because this system prohibits the slash (/) character in database names.

What can i do here please?

    Hello,

Unfortunately I think this is against forum rules, please could you ensure your database name does not have any illegal / special characters or slashes which are preventing you from uploading it through cPanel. If you continue to have problems uploading it I would advise asking your host to double check what the filename requirements are.
