• Hey there,

I am changing hosts from HostGator to 1and1 (even though they suck, I didn’t pay for HostGator) and I’d like to get my blog on 1and1. So I followed this guide and was able to back up my database from HostGator. I also downloaded all the content from my FTP into a folder on my desktop.

Now I go into 1and1, create a new database, and then I uploaded everything that I put into my folder on my desktop. I had to edit the wp-config file with my new information. Then I go to the URL of my blog and it gives me the install page. After installing, I go into the phpMyAdmin and go to “Import Files” and try to import the SQL file that I backed up from HostGator. Here is the error I get:

    SQL query:

    -- phpMyAdmin SQL Dump
    -- version 2.11.4
    -- https://www.phpmyadmin.net
    --
    -- Host: localhost
    -- Generation Time: Mar 23, 2008 at 07:35 PM
    -- Server version: 4.1.22
    -- PHP Version: 5.2.3
    SET SQL_MODE = "NO_AUTO_VALUE_ON_ZERO"
