Restoring Database
-
I recently had to switch web hosts, therefore I backed up the database, plug-ins, etc… and transferred it all over. Now, the blog is working for all intents and purposes, but now I’m trying to restore the previous database and am having difficulties.
I’m using WP-PhpMyAdmin 2.10.3 and follow the restoring instructions. However when I import the database (default settings: utf8 and no SQL compatability mode) it gives me the following error:
#1044 – Access denied for user ‘spire_wrdp1’@’localhost’ to database ‘mysqlfebc3b2e1241c15971ebf01b2e8’
Now, I did rename the text file containing the backup to a more practical name, but I’m wondering if the name was not meant to be tampered with (mind you, nothing within the file; just the file name itself.) If this is the case, where do I retrieve the original name from? Otherwise, any ideas as to why this is complicating, please?
Thanks!
