Restoring backup to Localhost

    I successfully created a backup on the server, and I’m desperately trying to restore it to Localhost, so we can then move it to a different server. I need to know the backup works first, before we start messing with DNS. I have tried this numerous times yesterday. It gets to 53% and just hangs there. It shows progress in the progress window, but it never gets beyond 53%.

    Finished part 55 of wp_formmaker_cookies table.
    Finished part 55 of wp_formmaker_cookies table.
    Finished part 57 of wp_formmaker_cookies table.
    Finished part 58…. etc.

    And so on. How long should it theoretically take to restore a small WordPress site? I’m looking to purchase a reliable backup/restore plugin, and I’m very interested in this, because of the ease. But I can’t get the restore to work! Any suggestions? If this works, I would purchase the full version immediately!

    UPDATE: It’s now on Finished part 6018 of wp_formmaker_cookies table.

    Can you explain why it is doing this and what’s taking so long?

    Please let me know if you’re running on Windows Server.
    If you don’t know which system you run simply post beginning of your live-log.

    You can download the live-log by clicking middle-bottom “Download live-log” button in the process window of your restoration.

    No. Not resolved. Put on hold. We have 2 dogs who have health issues right now – they come first. I’ll get back to this when I can. Thank you.
