Made the backup eventuellay from my multisite. Had a root user with password. Now I have a singlesite. I have imported the database and can see the tables. When I start WordPress I have to make the ordinary installation so I get new wp tables too. WP cant see my old pages and links and so on. When I try to change prefix nothing happens. I can delete tables but cant do anything else.
I am logged on with root and no password and all priviliges.
I dont know what to do….I have made new installations for both WP and WAMP.

  • If I understand what’s happening here correctly, you had wordpress multi-site, you dumped the database, imported the database, and are now wanting a single-site wordpress.

If that’s correct, then the system has no idea what you’re trying to do. It doesn’t know that you had multisite before.

You should follow a guide on how to move from multi to single. This is not an easy process and requires advanced knowledge of how tables and sql statements work. There’s a guide here:
    https://beacon.wharton.upenn.edu/404/2011/02/the-return-from-multisite/

The easiest thing is to export your site using wrx and import it into the new one.

    Best of luck!

Thanks! I have felt that this is maybe the only solution.
Now I will recreate the old multi first restore, and then make it to single one.
