Hello, can someone please tell me if it is possible to restore a site remotely with this program as I have no access to my admin panel and I really don’t want to have to go through the restore process via FTP.

Also the backup I have here has a directory called db_tables but inside this directory it has numerous sql tables. So if I have to restore these manually how do I do this?

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thanks

PS: I am a licensed user.

    Hello @cybagirl ,

Restoring the website from the backup file created by Backup Migration plugin is only possible via the same plugin itself, as it is not simply a website compressed to a zip file.

Note that backup files from different plugins are not compatible between each other.

So to use the restoration process, you will need to have WordPress instance with Backup Migration plugin installed. You can upload the backup file in the plugin’s section “Manage & Restore Backup(s)” and run a restoration process after a successful upload.

You can also upload the backup by other means, just make sure that it is uploaded to the location specified in the plugin menu, and after that, please hit refresh button on the “Manage & Restore Backup(s)” section.

    Kind regards
