I created a backup of my website through WPVivid. I was in the process or restoring, the process timed ouot, and now the website is completely gone. Can’t even access dashboard.

What do I do to get the site back?

    Hi @barnesmg

    Sorry about the inconvenience.

From the video, we noticed that the restore timed out when decompressing the zip file, so please check if the disk space of the website is sufficient(in general, in order to successfully backup or restore a site, the amount of free disk space on the web server needs to be twice the size of the website). Also, please confirm if your web server has any restrictions on decompressing files? WPvivid decompresses files using the pclzip class that comes with WordPress.

In the meantime, please contact your web host to increase the PHP memory limit in the php.ini file to at least 512 MB.
Then, go to WPvivid Settings> Advanced Settings:

    • Modify PHP script execution timeout for restore: 3600 seconds
    • PHP Memory Limit for restoration 512 MB
    • Then Save Changes and run the restore again.

I hope this helps, please feel free to let us know if you need any further information.

      All the best,
